For this lab we made rocket motors, reactions, and the periodic table. The periodic table is a table illustrating the periodic system, in which the chemical elements, formerly arranged in the order of their atomic weights and now according to their atomic numbers, are shown in related groups. Reactions are the reciprocal of chemical agents upon each other; chemical change. The purpose of today's lab was to see different reactions from chemicals on the periodic table. I'm proud of the work I did I believe that my groups rocket turned out well I think that it was a solid top grade rocket. This was my first time making a rocket motor and I didn't really know how it was supposed to turn out but I think it turned out really well. When creating the motor after filling it with fuel we covered one end and poured concrete in the other. After the concrete dried we drilled a hole through the side with the concrete and stuck a fuse in it. Once the fuse was lit and the fuel was ignited the rest was basic physics. The pressure created by the combustion of the fuel all the energy escaped through the hole that was drilled earlier. The release of pressure gave it thrust since every action has an equal and opposite reaction. I feel that for this project I really just did what I thought was best and went with my gut feeling. There wasn't really much to do in this project explaining might seem like a lot of work but, it really only takes 2-3 people for something like this. I believe that I worked well with my group we didn't really |
