What I learned this semester about myself is that I decide when to screw up or not. I learned that not only can I get work done and turn it in but, it could also be bad quality work that I know I could do better on. I tried to play it safe this year I had some drawbacks that really hurt me last year in 9th Grade I couldn’t mess up twice in a row that's just not me. So I took what I thought was the easy way I got all the notes I could gather, I did all the worksheets that were available and turned in solid A work. But I knew that I could do more and that I had to show that someway; somehow.
So I got my gears moving and I decided to actually try some new things I realized doing just notes and worksheets wasn’t going to be enough, I had to do more and I knew my teacher wanted me to do more. So I decided to do some labs everybody else was trying out some sort of lab I wanted to be in the mix to. So I started talking with my friends about what to do what they were going to do. One thing I tried was stomach acid and to see if I take the chemicals inside stomach acid then I could add some elements to see how our stomachs would react without actually affecting a human stomach. But I needed more and that's what really fueled me thats what got my curiosity going. It was the hunger for more for what else to do and I believe it really came out during the Flame Lab, after that I was just a mad man inside chemistry class and I liked it.
One thing I would take away from this class would have to be the hunger for more stuff to do. I needed more, and more, and more, things to do in chemistry class than in any other class and that really excites me. Andrew couldn’t keep up with the constant demand of more labs to do or more worksheets to put up on his blog. I know I said worksheets were kinda of boring but, damn I learned a lot from just two pages on that worksheet than I did sitting in class for two hours on some days. So in conclusion I would have to say it was my hunger for more in this class that really drove me and took me that extra mile during this semester.
